I know the administration have a lot on their plate, but as a suggestion could we have larger hourly resets of ninjas? (I read somewhere in chat a while back that resets were made larger, but I'm wondering where that went, plus, back a couple weeks or months when I'd spree the resets were up to 700 and a thousand, if I'm not mistaken.)
There is a lot of competition around, mostly with War and I competing for dominance in kills. What also adds on are the active mid-levels that want to become a higher level but are only able to grasp anywhere around 10-50 kills per reset.
The resets only provide a range of 300-100 ninjas per hour. (From my observation of the past week) After 5-10 minutes (the average time to clear 300-100 ninjas), the game dies down a bit due to the inability to kill more ninjas. This also poses a problem to new players who see that there is no other active competition available then, readily, quit the game.
We need larger hourly resets, and that's the bottom line cause I said so.

I agree, the current resets gets cleared in less then ten minutes with me just watching Jatton. I do notice that alot of new members can't get any kills because 1. there isn't very many ninja's to begin with 2. As they are learning how to play the ninja's are dieng. 3. When they finally do learn how to play every time they click on a ninja, then it's already dead. I know that last reason doesn't really seem like it is affected by the list directly, but indirectly it does because if the list was bigger they would learn a pattern of which ninja's they could click and kill (for ex. every 3 ninja from the top or whatnot) anyways, yeah with me and Jatton, its definitely not enough. But there are more ninja's that are trying to get kills then just me and Jatton, so I definitely think we need more ninjas. I do realize that I also asked for it back when Eldrazi was here but, then I had to leave for a month and came back, and yeah the list was clear full, but hey, this just means the game is getting more active.

Making the resets larger is a temporary solution that we might consider. Their are bigger issues including the sheer number of speed scrolls out there that allow players to play nearly infinitely, and the fact that spreeing is a good way to level. Spreeing should not be the name of the game, but unfortunately it is right now. Tchal and I have discussed solutions with better advancement models but we're not ready to go that route yet.
We'll consider your suggestion and see what we can do about reset sizes in the coming weeks.

As Beagle says, part of the problem is that the experience system is very flat, but as far as the revive system itself, here is what you can expect:
Right now there are 5676 player accounts active in the last two months-ish.
There are two types of revives: Major (hours divisible by 3): Revives 10% of the available ninjas. 10% of 5676 that should give us 568 ninjas revived for the major revive.
Minor revive (hours inbetween those divisible by 3): Revives so that 300 ninjas are alive if any less than 300 are currently alive.
And there's a cap after which only the minimum revives (leaving low-level inactives less likely to be revived), though with people killing so often, that's unlikely to matter much.
I like the major revive because it has the tendency to bring more people around at the same time (more prey to spree on). In the past, when I have increased the hourly revive too much, it made it so that people came on at no set time, and often that led to players always being on at times that other people weren't on, which kinda made the game languish.
Anyway, What I'll do is increase the major revive percent to 20%, and we'll try it that way for a while. So expect a major revival (about 1100 ninja revived). to happen split apart by three hours, and smaller revives in the hours inbetween. Meet up at the 3 hour mark and participate in a frenzy! At least, that'll be the idea, let me know if that works.
In the future what I'll do is look to change the revives to happen at the half-hour or even the five-minute mark (for somewhat less potency but more frequency).

Oh, just went into to check the resets on the live system, and there are changes to the numbers on test that just haven't gotten to the live game until this next release, so I just went ahead and bumped up the numbers for the live game, so expect a higher reset every 3 hours.

Alright, I am definitely noticing the difference. Thanks Tchalvak. But with the new found war thats occuring then it happens that spreeing is not happening as much, but the update is greatly appreciated.

Spreeing is omnipresent, it's the only feasible way of gaining levels in a quick and effective manner. The "war" between the Widow and the Syndicate will only undermine the spreeing by a short bit. From what I've seen once a side is disabled it leaves the other side free to spree at their heart's content.
Thanks to the administration for disclosing how the reset works, and also planning/or-already-in-effect 20% reset proposal.

Lol, even with the bigger resets it's still a mad rush for kills lol... I have definitely appreciated the larger resets though, (Rank 2 now w00t) I would like even more but, I think how it is, is good because it kinda adds a little competition for the limited amount of kills, and kinda make's the kills more valuable...
