Uhh How about easier navigation? I mean like, Dumb it down for the places so that people like me can understand better, for ex;
The Smile Of Dawn ~ The Tea House The Fairest Bet ( I understood this one but still ) ~ The Casino etc. etc.
Also, How come some places I cant go in? Like the dojo? Also, How do I see how much turns I have? Also, Where do I go to lvl up, like to click the upgrade button? And How do I know that I have an upgrade to lvl up? Also, How about better jobs? I mean, make it more combat-like;
Fisherman? ~ Water Ninja Mine worker? ~ Earth Ninja Dock worker ~ Fire Ninja Temple Monk? ~ Spirit Ninja
Water > Fire Earth > Water Fire > Earth
BTW where are my skills? Sorry its just very confusing for me

The game is definitely confusing. You don't have as much control as you think you do. Let me break it down for you.
The world is not complete, you can't enter every building, and in some cases, there are buildings you will never be able to go into. A lot of it is about the flavor of the world. Things will make more sense when we have some art work in place.
The casino, the tea house, the dojo, the shop, none of these things work as they are supposed to. You can't go to the casino to play games, and you can't buy items at a shop. You will be able to, but we're building those features right now. You just need to be patient.
In NW2, you have Stamina, which determines how many actions you can take. Your stamina is viewable in your stats window, which you can get to through a button at the top of the page.
You level up automatically, and your skills currently are randomly assigned every time you level. You have no control over these things right now, so the dojo does nothing. We are working on these features, you will hear about them when they're ready.
We do not intend to change jobs the way you have suggested. Jobs will, however, be useful eventually, as they will help with money making, with information gathering, and with hiding in the crowd.
You do not have control over your skills yet. All ninja have the same 4 skills, and they are currently given to you at level 1 and used behind the scenes in combat. The next couple of upgrades over the next few weeks will address this and give you more control.
So you're not missing out on things, it's just you're looking for things (for the most part) that we haven't completed yet, and therefore aren't in the game yet.
Sorry for all of the confusion.

Ooo, my bad, I thought it was all finished since I was reading posts about it that dated all the way back to like 2005, so I just assumed it was finished. Sorry
BTW 1 question, What job makes the most money, and whats the difference between them? Also how do I check my mail to see if anyone killed me

Post by Beagle on May 7, 2007 16:24:27 GMT -5
Heh, you'd think since the posts were from 2005 that the game would be done, wouldn't you.
Sadly, we didn't get the first beta released until just March 1st of 2007, so things have been moving slowly. You can see some posts about our history on the forum as well.
Jobs currently do not make you any money. So don't worry about it. Your character gets reset every 2 months, and you'll eventually be allowed to change jobs at such, so really, just sit back and wait for release notes as they come. We've got some changes in the works to come soon and they'll just keep coming.
Stay tuned.

It's fine, if we enforce something like that with rules, then people like shinobihokage will never realize WHY the rules are there. If he continues to make suggestions, and continues to get ripped by you, and continues to get deflected by me until I can get the features already in progress out, then he'll learn why it's always best to spend some time with the community before assuming he can improve it.

Hey, listen, don't feel bad. No one should make you feel bad. I love feedback.
It's not about feeling bad, it's about listening, understanding, observing, and learning. Not about feeling bad.

ok balance is fucked up but its live-able AND if we add the input of items the game will go to multis if u guys want the multis like hattori/red eye/ sama/ to have power again ... you'll be putting it right in there hands. i understand it would be helpful blah blah but it would be helpful to cheaters as well.

a) NW1 forum is up there <points up>
b) NW2 is a work in progress. It's currently in Beta 2 cycle. There will be subsequent cycles.
c) Eventually, the home page will be fleshed out, and you can read all about the goings on, and hell maybe even see a tutorial there at some point.
d) Always give feedback. When nartuolegend calls you a noob, don't take it to heart, he's a noob too. Everyone's a noob at something. It's ok to disagree, and we are working hard. So long as you keep the ideas coming and understand we are still working, it's all good.
e) I'm hungry.

It's probably an issue with CSS that we should be able to resolve pretty quickly. Is that in IE7 both times? Or IE7 for snod and IE6 for jareth? Let me know. Important information.

I have IE7... probably certain display settings on our PC desktops, make it look like that. You know some people are still using 800 x 600 display? Wowzaa! Anyways, yeah.... my display settings are at 1024 x 768 32-bit. I wonder if that is the case....

Yeah, my friend bought a new HP computer from STAPLES two days ago, and it came with Windows Vista (piece of crap). Anyways, it already had IE7 on it, and the same crap happens, the overlaying of the boxes on NW2. Once again, FireFox fixed this problem and there was no trouble. I am STILL trying to figure oput myself what the problem is with the browser. This will be solved soon. I tried disabling the ActiveX controls and that is no issue. What the hell is IE7 running on?
