Would it be a good idea to allow for clan hall upgrades? For example (I know very little about Asian culture and history, so this idea could be...made more Ninja/Asian) Could money be paid, for upgrades to be made to the hall itself? Eg. A moat?(I'm not sure how Ninja a moat is...)
To keep things fair, the bigger the clan, the more expensive the upgrade, because of the larger space needed for the upgrade.
What do people think about this idea?

This is definitely an idea that's in the works for NW2. We'll also be having more than one hall per clan, one clan hall per town, so you can keep upgrading and upgrading. I think it will great. Do you have any specific ideas that you'd like to see besides a moat?

No I dont, I was just thinking that kind of thing. You would want to keep it in an Asian/Ninja style, neither of which I know anything about (living in Australia). Maybe you could hire merceneries or guards, build walls or make traps and pungee pits...someone who knows about Ninja history and culture could make it all historicly correct.

Spike traps, the swinging logs, traps that ignite fire blasts, and basic pallisade fortifications would be interesting.
Also it would be interesting if two clan halls were in the same town and they were able to fight for territory in the town through clandestine battles. The victorious clans would recieve things like extra missions only for members of that clan and there could be a meter for collateral damage (property damage, bystander deaths and injuries) that would guage the stealthiness of each clan's assaults. Stealth would be attacking at night, fighting in the sewers or rooftops, sabatoge missions inside enemy clan halls, and competitions to see which clan could successfully assassinate a certain hard target first. These may be unrealistic ideas, but I thought I would throw them out there for you to look at.
How does that sound?

Hahah, I like the phrase "collateral damage" and its implications.
As in, maybe if you have too many ninjaclan wars within the same village, the villagers revolt up and go on a rampage due to the collateral damage! That'd be fun.
Collateral damage could be pretty useful, something we could consider how to work in after the core features were stabilized.
