how about tch hands over control or finds some more people, friends maybe that know coding or somewhat know coding and just want to learn, add them to the admin list, lets have some updates, new scrolls add a skill sets to build, you have allll the ideals in the world for a ninja game, lets have a bit of activity, you dont need anymore ideals you just need to be active or get some help to do it, do you really llike this game cause it feels like its dieing, you need to give it content, the players used to beable to do that but the quality of it has declined sharply

I made a response to this post, but I ended up being long and detailed enough about the direction that nw is heading to make it its own post in the announcements forum. So you can read that here: ninjawars.proboards19.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=ann&thread=1028In summary, making improvements to nw html/css/javascript have always been a possibility for anyone committed enough to do so, and nw is in the process of moving towards being made open source, which I hope will open up the php code as well to being available for improving in the same way, as well as potentially making improvements to the html/css/javascript more approachable.

perhaps you could add a condition to the hourly mass respawn event-thing. where it doesn't happen if the number of live ninjas, or number of pages is too great.
also i was wondering if all the ninjas got mail, even the ones that are old as #$^&? just curious....

The respawn already has a min/max that hits hourly, easily modifiable up and down.
My plan right now with that is to essentially increase the max at the three-hour mark, and decrease the max at the one-hour-marks, so every three hours there'll be a big reset, and every hour there'll be mini-resets.
And yeah, every player can get mail regardless, though as you know, mail isn't emailed out, so they have to log in to get the mail.

i think what sach means is that if there are x amount of pages alive then there is no reset.
so like 10 or less pages there is a reset at the normal time ... any more then that there is no reset
also mini resets is bad just do every three hours

I think that just the one reset every three hours is the way to go. That way you're going to encourage competition between players. If there are always lower levels rezzing every hour to be killed, people aren't going to worry so much about the three hour resets. However, if there is only one reset every three hours, people will think more strategically about how they play the game, and will introduce more competition back into the game. There isnt really much now days.

I was wondering about making a more direct and fun goal for ninja playing. Right now the only thing to do is to lvl up and be the strongest with the best clan to back you up right? Why? What about say a position in NW only attainable by X amount of players and once there you have to defend yourself to keep your position. Of course give this position extra abilities of some sort. Say these ninja in power can actually make strongholds or use special items Idk really what would be applicable right now but it was an idea i just had.
Make things so that having a clan is of use. In order to get into position of power you need your clan to back you up and help defend your title or something. Its a rough idea but its something that adds a goal to the game. This would promote competition for the game and wouldn't soly rely on killz re spawns or things like that make it useless to multi to get there or kill constantly.

Yep, that's pretty much part of the plans, clans are going to get clanhalls and become much more useful and important to the game.
