Obviously, the layout has changed alot.
Login: Login happens from the top bar instead of an inside page.
Visible display: The main sections can be collapsed and expanded by clicking their title. Lurking ninja list: The latest attacking, alive ninja will be listed above the player list. Player list: Dead ninja in the list will have darkened-out-rows when viewing dead ninja. Player level titles: There are a number of different divisions of ninjas based on their level. Clan and clan members displayed on player profiles. Attack button on player profile made into a larger target by using the shuriken image as the attack button. Ninja search on front page. Kicking clan members has a javascript confirmation as submitted a while back.
Attack: Attack limits: The attack, skill, and item systems all use the same system for determining whether you can attack a player now, including a limit on how soon you can attack a ninja after just having attacked them for attacks, skills, and items. Stealth blocks a lot more types of attacks, though one skill for each class still cuts through stealth affect.
Reviving: The amount revived per hour has been decreased a bit, to make mass slaughter more feasible.
Signup: Players shouldn't have the confirmation issues that we were experiencing with non-gmail email providers in the past any more.
There's a lot of cleanup and changing stuff around in prep for making the game open source, so there'll probably be issues, lemme know about them and I'll try to clean them up as soon as possible.

Yeah, I'm workin' on the "can't attack in different ways through stealth", issue, and the "skill use is adding to turns instead of subtracting" issue.

It seems that when I try to use my stealth skill It says "there was a problem with your attack" and doesn't let me stealth. It gets even more funny, I can't unstealth either. Says "your victim is stealthed you cannot attack this ninja by normal means." lol well I find it funny. Oh yeah these are the skills I'm using, the scroll to stealth me works but the skills are broken

Nope, if the "you can't attack yourself" message when hitting stealth were a feature, I would have listed it in the post above in some way, that post covered most of the stuff that I . However, that problem should be dealt with as of about 5pm-ish today (the 5th).
At some point in the future I might make it a feature of stealth that you don't show up on the "Lurking" list, but the lurking list is there to make the game more of an active vs. active players situation now that the list rarely gets thinned out enough to find people in among the crowd. We'll see what others think of that frequent visibility as well, for a little bit.
As far as login issues, please always lemme know your ninja name and describe the circumstances that prevented you from logging in these cases, and any errors that you may have encountered, if any. That'll help me root out the problem more quickly.
Which reminds me, there's also been a change to decrease the total hourly revive rate somewhat.

Okay, mostly the layout is cool. But I don't like some of the changes. 1) Having the whole list there when you're spreeing? Annoying. 2) Can't attack clan members? How are you supposed to help defend them? I really want to know the reasoning behind that one, because it's ridiculous. I understand not being able to duel/attack them, but we should still be able to use inventory against them.

It seems to me that attacking/killing ones own clanmates would be the opposite of defending them. If in fact you wanted to 'Defend' them, why not kill the person who's trying to kill them, now there's a challenge!

That is the ideal response, I do agree. But on occasion, that is not possible. Perhaps you should give thought to multiple circumstances before you go spouting rubbish. Also, don't you think it would be beneficial to be able to speed a clan member?

True, the catchall system doesn't cover using beneficial items on clan members, I'll get that back in before long.

I figured using beneficial items on an ally would go without saying, you tool.

Some clarification: All classes have a stealth-killing option.
The lurker list is alive players that most attacked or most recently signed up.

I kinda like how links in profiles display right in the ninjawars main window... any chance we can get links provided in chat to do the same...some may not like but I kinda think it looks slick, plus lets you check out content people are sharing without navigating away from the chat window.

Just so you guys know, the recent changes included changes to the css, which might be cached on your system, messing up the way the site displays. So if you're having problems with the page displaying really weird: go to www.ninjawars.net/webgame/css/style.cssHold down the ctrl key and hit F5. that should refresh your version of the css for the game if necessary and make everything sync up all right.
