test.ninjawars.netHead over to the test server for NinjaWars and help us find bugs in the new changes. Here's the list of changes: - Blaze and Deflect skills now stack properly, with turn costs properly reported.
- Turn regen doubled to 2 turns every half-hour
- Clan creation level req is 15 instead of 16
- Health and Experience bars displayed in quick stats instead of numbers
- Clan tag cloud looks nicer
- Shop, Player List, and Doshin tables looks nicer
- Account signup looks nicer
- Latest message received is displayed without needing to go to mail
- Trying to Work or Shop without being logged displays a message to signup
- Lots of little UI clean ups with colors, spacing, and borders.
- Speed improvements to player list
- Various display bug fixes
- New 404 page
For those that want to know more about what's coming, here are changes we made that don't yet have any effect on what you see, but were necessary to provide us the foundation to launch new features from: (find reasoning to changes in the parens) - New clan database architecture (New clan features)
- Updates to the inventory database architecture (New inventory mgmt features)
- Migration to new data access layer (Security and speed improvements)
- Further migration to a template-based UI (Fewer UI bugs, easier to make UI changes)
- Level requirements on skills, set to 1 (New progression paths, unlocking of skills by leveling)
Please head over to the test site and post any comments or bug reports here. After a few weeks of testing, we'll push these changes to the live site so everyone can benefit.

By the way, level requirements for skills are in play already in some cases:
Deflect now requires you be level 2. Cold Steal requires level 6. Steal requires level 2.
I implemented this mainly 'cause too many newbies are freezing themselves via Cold Steal. I may bump up the level of Steal and Cold steal up some more before long as well.
Levels can easily be added to skills at this point, not that I'm sure we really want to until we have a bigger pool of them, but I'm open to suggestions.
