*rolls his eyes* I didn't post a poll only because I wanted to see who voted as they posted, so that I could be sure that it was people who were actually clan leaders that were answering.
Really, I've already come to the conclusion that this is a much-needed change, We don't want ninjawars to be spamming your inbox unless it is your -ninjawars- inbox (from the mail system).
I am still interested to know how often and how many clan requests people are getting, since it probably varies a lot. CaptainNoob is probably the worst off in this regard, since he's the first line of defense, being at the top of the list and all. I'll be changin' the clan ranking script so that the clan at the top of the list is there because they're actually doing the footwork (getting rid of inactive players and bringing in active ones) so that'll help a little as well.
Doing the NW clan-request mailings is now 1st on my list of stuff that I'm going to do to the way the game plays. I'm going to be trying to juggle NW2 stuff and NW1 stuff, so first on my list of NW1 gameplay doesn't mean it's the very next thing, but it won't be far off.

Clan Requests now go to Ninjawars mail instead of email. Feel free to vote to change that to a different option, I'd be open to changing it if enough people wanted something different.

Well not to get picky over the whole thing, but is there a way to have clan requests and all that go through the clan page? It's just that it's still pretty hard to sort through all that mail to find the requests. Although I must say I was so surprised when I only had 1 email request. I was like, what happened? Then I found 4 or 5 in my game mail. And it was much more convient. That's for sure. But just in terms of sorting, it'd be great to have it all some how on the clan page, if possible.

I'm not a clan leader... (yet) but I think that would be a problem. What about clan's that don't have a clan page? Unless you only made it that way for the ones that do, but that would be a hassle wouldn't it? You should probably keep it the way it is... in the mail. I know that when I become a clan leader, I'll want it that way.

i like the fact how it goes to ones out-of-game email. this way, when some people send requests to many different clans, its up to the leader to regularly check his or her email. i dunno, it kinda makes it show who works harder for it? i dunno, just my opinion.

Well, shogunassassin, presumably it has the same effect with the in-ninjawars-game-mail. I mean, when people send requests to multiple clans, the clan leader that logs onto and checks for requests most frequently (and is therefore, presumably, most active) is the one that gets players to join his clan. And as an added bonus, it doesn't spam up email inboxes for people who don't care.
ShadowNoah, captainnoob is just talking about the page within the game that you get to by the "clan" link, not sites that clan members have made for themselves.
And finally, captainnoob, while I want to seperate out the different types of messages, including the "clan request" ones, NW1's mail system is... ...kinda oversimplified and hard to change. So when I do get around to seperating out messages, it's going to be a hack, something the current system isn't well designed for, and it's going to take me a while to get implemented right. But there will be a seperate place for messages from people and messages about being attacked. It'll happen eventually.
