I saw that the number of players dropped to around 640 today. Was there a DB cleanup? Is this intentional or part of a scheduled event? Well, I'm just curious. -Drimme-

Hey Drimme, Yes there was a database cleanup. We've been trying over the past 8 months to reduce the number of inactive players slowly. We were getting an average of 300 new players per month and had been deleting inactive players at that rate as well.
But, due to high player churn, we were being ineffective at dropping enough inactive players. The goal was to create an active community slowly, and it didn't appear to be working. So now, we hope that the presence of more active players will keep more players happy and our community will become larger as well as more active.
Thanks for paying attention. =)
p.s. no, it wasn't scheduled
