NinjaWars is currently running on a very rudimentary point based system that awards one point per kill with no conditions. We find this system to be lacking in balance and flexibility. Here are our thoughts. Please provide yours.
The experience point system we would like to move towards would award a much larger amount of points for killing a ninja. For example, 500 points. The amount of points rewarded would be higher for a more difficult kill and lower for an easier kill. We would like to remove points altogether once the kill becomes far too easy.
The current environment of NW would not allow this change, because it would leave many of the most active players with no game to play at all. We feel, however, that by making this the system from the beginning, especially now that NW is showing a significant influx of new players, that these problems would not arise as it would be more difficult for a very small group of players to exceed everyone else by a huge margin.
Use of the experience point system would also allow us to give fair rewards for quests and killing NPCs without making it too easy for players to use them as their only source of experience.
Let us know your thoughts on an experience point system instead of the kill point system, and if you have any suggestions on how to implement it, let us know.

Eh, bro beagle.. i got lost when u say remove points altogether when kills get too easy... what does that mean?
But generally, i think this giving more points or whatever for a tougher kill is definitely a good development. At least it would encourage players to try harder targets, rather than picking off easy ones.
Five woofs to you as a salute for the good work on Ninja Wars.
