Because the Samurai was never implemented. It was an idea NinjaLord had played with that the Samurai would be so hard that it would be worth a kill point, but he never got around to figuring out how to do that, and it was never a high priority.
We decided the entire levelling system needed to be redone, so we left it alone and decided to focus our efforts on NinjaWars 2. So if you want to see what the new ideas for experience gaining are in NinjaWars 2, head to that section of the forums.
Thanks for playing NinjaWars!

The samurai will not be implemented in this version of the game. It is entirely possible a samurai will be in NinjaWars 2, but my lips are sealed on that.

NinjaWars 2 is currently in development, but we do not, as of yet, have a release date for it. Yes, of course you can play a Ninja in it! ;D

Will the members of Ninjawars now have to join Ninjawars 2 separately?

NW2 will be a separate game, and the current NinjaWars will disappear. Don't worry though, NW2 will still be free to play, and still adhere to the principle of simplicity that appeals to many of the current players. It'll just be better. ;D

NinjaWars 2 will be a completely different game. And yes, it will entirely replace this one, so you'll be able to access it from the same URL as normal, www.ninjawars.net/As for having to do your hardwork over again, think about it like your buying a new game without spending any money. --Woof
