Subject says it all, what do you players think about the idea of having the option to hire NPC ninja to steal from other players? There's the concept of a theif class being considered as well, so I think that one would be incompatible with the other, but that doesn't mean that we couldn't use NPCs to do it until the Theif class came in.
Obviously, if this were to be an untracable thing, as makes the most sense, the cost (in gold/in turns) is going to have to be higher than a 1 gold cost to 1 gold stolen ratio, so perhaps as an example, you pay <X> gold, and <1/2 of X> gold is stolen from that player of your choice.

I personally don't like the idea. What's the whole point of stealing gold? If the whole thing was to make a profit come up with some different idea. In fact, you can't make a profit because for every one gold you gain 1/2. Again I don't like the idea but that's just me.

I'd prefer to hire NPCs as protection. For example if I get attacked my NPC steps in to defend me, that might be cool. Kinda like a trap...

I do like that idea of setting a trap. Ninjalord - do you remember you sent me to some other game site? They had a trap in there. The idea seems cool. I'm not sure how we could put a trap in the game but suggestions from fellow players might help.
