As far as I can see everyone attacks level 1's to get their kills so no one messes with the higher levels. It would be cool if you had to get a certain ammount of points to get to the next level say attacking a level 4 would give you 600 points.

This is true, i'm considering some form of newbie protection, in the future the higher the level u will only be able to attack those closer to your level, as the newbies are dying too quick and not a lot new players are enjoying that.

though you should bare in mind that this would mean it would take a lot longer to level up

It takes a while to level up as it is right now. I wonder if instead of newbie protection i just drop kills for killing weaker players. Also considering training NPC for all those maybe under level 7 to have access to for kills.

So they can build base strength... good idea, although i like the idea of less kills for weaker players and prehaps only allowed level 5 and under attack each other, ahh but then again then level 6's would be raped... hmm interesting.

An oldie but goodie....
What are your thoughts on this idea. Maybe not in it's suggested form, but something like this.
What if multiplied everything by 100. Instead of needing 5 kills for level 2, you need 500 points, so on and so forth. For rewarding points, players with the same level as you are worth 100 points. For every level less than you, the amount of points drops by half. So at level 5, level 4s are worth 50, level 3s are worth 25, etc. The lowest this will go is 1, maybe 5?
For killing above your level, something similar perhaps. At level 5, level 60 is worth 125, level 7 is worth 150, level 8 is worth 200 up to a max of 500pts.
I know that the highest level players right now will see this as a great hinderance to them, and understandably so. But it would also allow people to catch up to them and produce more competition. I think also that by reducing the amount of newbie killing going on, we will see a greater retention rate of player meaning more active players to fight with.
But of course, this is a drastic change, and may be too disruptive fo be implemented into the current game. Your thoughts either way are appreciated.

I am glad that someone actually looks into us newbies... me.. i got whacked by a level 5 cos I was injured and not enough turns or money to heal...
Anyways, kudos to the team for providing such an entertaining game!
Though I am only in for a few days, I am HOOKED!
But, my suggestion is... on top of the points... which I think is great... is that there might be a quest? I am new here, so I do see the quest thingy in the tutorial.. but.. how does it work?
Maybe if a quest like to assasinate a corrupt daimyo will get points or money or other rewards? Or even being a bodyguard to somebody... I don't know who but someone...
Well.. dat's it from me... this is a great fun game for me.. so please keep it going and improve it whenever you can. Until the pay option is up, I will be saving up money.
Hope my question/suggestion is not too stoopid.

Not at all Shurato, your enthusiasm is great! Thanks for all the posts. Quests are implemented yet. NinjaLord had thought it would be a good idea but never got around to developing it. All I can say about quests is that we're trying to figure out how to make them work.
So keep pumping ideas out and we'll keep making NinjaWars better.
