Please guys. Grow up. This is a game where you need to kill.
And to the admin, Zodiacus: Make it clear in the rule book that it's absolutely OKAY to kill.
I keep getting spam like this in my mailbox, it becomes a drag. It's not as if I _LIKE_ killing people.
But I, too, need to level up, right?

You're right. You don't know how many times I've gotten messages like that. *After all I am/was the highest level player out there. People don't seem to understand that all you lose is a kill point. So big whoop. You come back you get 100hp of health and you go again. You don't see me telling people to stop killing me. I could care less who does. And how many times to I have to say this but IT'S JUST A GAME!

Nadz:
For once, we agree with each other. This is just a game.
I don't cuss and swear when Nadz or Sassy kills me ten twenty times a day in a row. Hell, they do it all the time, like I do it to them.
You know...mutual friendship always starts from giving. ;D ;D ;D
Cloud2003: Come on baybee...hack my account...I'll tell your mother she was a beech.

well... as a newbie.. i would like to ask something... if a higher level player attacks a level one player for like a few times.. is is picking on the lower level?
would the lower level player have a right to ask the player to find others rather than her/her to kill? i mean there are a lot of players out there.. so why pick on one?
hope i dun sound too stoopid... just wanted to know the etiquette around here...

Heh, right now, the game is set up so that killing low level characters is easier, and despite the bounty system, still quite useful. We're looking to change that drastically with NWII, though, but until then, yes, death is something that will happen to you.
Besides, with the bounty system, there are now more ways to get back at higher level attackers. Catch them online and alive and put bounty on their head. Someone's bound to want that bounty...
Or, for the other classes, just use skills against them until they get the message that you aren't just easy prey. *shrugs* Even if they keep on killing you, it really only costs -you- a kill point a day, and you still get turns while dead, so it's easy to deal with.
Suck it up, just like everyone else. And form/join a clan to keep yourselves safe with brother(/sister)hood.
Huzzah for NWII !

Well, first and foremost, I did not spam or complain about being killed.
All I am asking is.. is there a right for a newbie... ie level 1 player asking specifically why she/he is attacked by the same person every day.
I admit, the game is designed such that lower levels are easier to kill. But is there a point to concentrating on one specific player? I see quite a number of level 1 players... and I usually go for those who are not active for like over a hundred days... that usually means that they either lost interest in the game... or whatever.
Let's put it this way, level 5 kills level 1 called Z, then next day, level 5 kills same player again, and it happens again for like 4 days in a row. Tell me if u were Z that u will get not pissed? My question is, "there are a lot of players out there... why stick to just one?" But this is only for some players who do this. And I do realize they can play anyhow they please... but don't try to potray innocence that others are crying foul over something that is justified in a game.
I think it's the way we, as players, that will make a difference. Although variety adds spcie, and players such as these will both get people to play more as well as to get players to drop the game. My point remains, there are plenty of players out there, why pick on one? And if that one asks you to stop it, must you show all and boast your "strength"?
And believe me, I have encountered it. Though lesser now that I have jumped a few levels from level 1.
I have a feeling that more players will kill me for what I have posted, but who cares. I am just speaking my mind in the hope that such tactics will not reduce more players from leaving the game.
Plus, I am patiently waiting for NWII to be out... since I have read all the refinements being discussed for it.

Good post Shurato,
I'll make sure to consider these comments when developing combat in NW2. I'll see what I can do about this kind of problem.
And just for everyone's information, and to toot our own horn, but while there are people who are driven away from the game by many things, over the past month we received an average of 100 new players per week.
And before anyone tells me how many inactive players there are, we're working on that too. If you notice, every time we hit 2000 players, we cut out about 300 inactive accounts. So we're trying our best to increase the activity in the game.
But yeah, NW2...we'll try to help out the newbies a bit more than we currently do.

It's always great to know that the admins and mods and all involved in the game r reading and listening to what we players r saying... even if not all r geniuine feedback.
Great job bro beagle... I just can't wait for NWII to be out.
