hey beagle, i just wanna ask u if u can add a feature in NW1 that'll make the most active player in the clan, able to accept (only accept not remove) members to the clan, IF the leader become inactive. The original clan leader will still be considered leader who made the clan, but if unable to do his obligations, there should be like a backup.
And for NW2 there should be a voting within the clan to choose a new leader (like every week), so that the clan would seem active, and accept new people.

Thats a cool idea, the voting anyways, maybe bi weekly.....
the first part is kind of useless if you can just vote

I completely see where you're coming from. However, it really is nearly impossible for me to modify the clan functionality in NW1. That's mainly because it doesn't exist. What you are seeing as clans is a very thin hack of some data. I can't do anything with it beyond what we've got.
NW2, however, has plans for providing explicit powers to the clan leader and providing a mechanism for delegating those powers out to other members, making them officers of the clan. Also, the voting for leaders and what not is under discussion, and some kind of system will be in place to ensure activity stays high.

i think the voting is a good idea but i dont think it should be manditory perhaps have different policies. ie democracy, dictatorship, communist, but definitely i feel a 30 day cap of innactivity should result in a loss of leadership with the torch being passed to the next most qualified individual in the clan. i like the way this is going beagle. by the way i cant remember will ther be maps available? as you probably have noticed a few of us are playing maple story. if you have not seen this game I highly suggest you check it out and see how they have there world map set out. I know thgis is a bbg but there may be elements of maple you could adopt to enhance the interactivity between players. will you be able to see whos online? another point, some of us in the game have formed allies, could you incorporate some sort of an ally/ enemy list for clans and individuals. sorry sometimes i go off topic but i get alot of ideas for nw2 and just try to spit them out when the hit me.

Murmkuma, ideas are awesome, and if you go off topic when you spit them out, then you go off topic. I'd rather hear your ideas than have a perfectly organized message board.
Anyway, yes, we do plan on letting clans decide how they want to rule, what they want to vote on, and whatever. I don't think we'll have actual systems of government, but there will definitely be room for each clan to figure out their own methods.
I will check out Maple story shortly, but we feel that having some kind of tile-based map will be way too annoying for our audience. We really like the abstract feel of NinjaWars, where you get right to the meat of the game instead of waiting for too much loading. But, there will be more of a world in NW2 than in NW1. The different areas of each town will be more defined and there will be different geographical regions as well, all while trying to keep the gameplay quick and smooth. On top of that, Ninja will have locations and you will be able to see who is online instead of just the number. And to top it off, a MUCH better in-game chat (still no plugins required).
I love hearing that you're getting excited about what we've been excited about for a while. Keep talking. We're still listening.
