hey its me b_zurc_ker, just wanted to ask beagle, Whats up with the filters?
i mean, in pms, they filter stuff that "maybe inappropriate" (if my spelling is right).... but in chatroom there are no filters.
I suggest just to take out all the filters. i cant even say "hello" and "assassinate" because "hell" and "ass" are in those words.
Think it over, i dont think little kiddies play ninjawars and you dont have to worry about them..

yeah, we're gonna pull them out.
I already pulled them out of the forums.
And we'll probably add them to NW2 later as an feature you can switch on or off.
I agree, it's stupid.

I disagree...I am 9 years old. I feel it unfair to be bombarded by foul language at such a young and impressionable age.
(I am not 9....9 and one half!)

Sure it's not a good idea to have little kids bombarded with obscenities but be a bit more realistic here. It's very annoying to not be able to say simple words like 'hello' and 'assume' because they have cuss words in them. And besides, although I do agree with not traumatizing little kids, but their part of a site where you kill other people for fun. If that's our definition of innocent I'm kinda scared. Basically if you're a little kid and you're on here, expect to get some foul language, cuz when you signed up i hope you weren't thinking it was gonna be all sunshine and daisies. ~GoD~

Well, that's just the symptoms of a badly set-up filter, doesn't imply that all filters in general are a bad idea. As it happens, though, the presence of a filter usually just forces people to work around it in one way or another, so in general they're not usually that effective anway. The "badly set-up" filter problem will be fixed with the advent of NW2, don't worry (whether we have any filters at all or not is another issue).
