Really? Cause you seem to be leveling just fine. We're attacking the same target yet you're keeping up with me no prob. I'm not seeing you being stopped from leveling. Noob.

I think that you'd just want to wait for the next reset/restart of NW2 when the next set of new stuff is released.

Yeah, sadly that's taken a lot longer than it should have. I'm working on the new features now, so we should get a reset pretty soon.
One of the fixes will be to make stat changes more even for everyone. Probably everybody will have the same total when you add up the stats, but they'll advance randomly, so if it would possible (but super highly improbable) to have 100 prowess and 4 of everything else while someone else would have 28 in each stat.

Will you allow a name chance for each reset or will it still keep the same names?

We're trying to figure the system for this out. What I think we're going to do is while you're playing, you can reserve a name as long as it's not already reserved. Then, when the reset occurs, your character will be wiped but your account will have 2 names reserved for it, the one you were playing, and the one you reserved. You can then use either of those, or try a new one as long as it's not taken.
I don't want to get into the situation where we delete all the characters and then jonesat creates a character called captainnoob. That, I think, would be one of the worse situations that could arise from name changes so we're working on it now. I agree, though, that you should be able to change your name.
Is that a good explanation of how we're looking at it?

Jareth
Actually, JavaScript couldn't prevent it. Here's the quick explanation:
We need to create an interface for reserving new names. We need to create a database table that ties reserved names to accounts. Every account has a character with a name, and can create, through the interface, one name reservation. After a reset, when you create a new character, you can choose any name you want, but any name that was in use or reserved for the last round is not available to you, unless it was your character or your reservation. Make sense?
It's honestly not that hard to put together, but it's just "one more thing" on the list of things to do. And honestly, name changes are in the big pile of little things.
fixing stats is more important
