As the press page said, we started looking into a stamina cap. The point of the stamina cap is to reward players who log in regularly. We want to discourage people from logging in once every few weeks, spending all of their stamina and shooting up in levels.
Presently we're trying to promote regular playtime as we remain sensitive to people who are typically casual. Sorry I don't have any numbers for you just yet.
I believe Beagle's on the calculations for the stamina cap. There will be an update when there's movement on this issue.
There's no relationship between the stamina cap and the fact that rounds (in NW2 "rounds" are actually "episodes" but this too will become clear in time) reset -- other than the coincidence that both represent parameters of playtime. It's like saying apples and oranges are both fruits.

I think the pace of NW2 is slowing down for good reason. To be a level 147 seems a little absurd to me, in the context of content to come later. For now, though, it's working fine.
Eventually, there will be stuff to do other than level, such as dynamic interaction with the world, stat-based traveling, NPC relationships, etc.
All these coming in the future.

thanks chris. i was also wondering if their will be ways to get more stamina later? seems now in a 24 hour time i can only attack like 6 times ish ? if you guys make a *stamina scroll* or w/e the game will suck every one will just stockpile them like in nw

I agree with the idea that items that provide more gameplay time are bad. The idea behind stamina is to give EVERYONE a level playing field. Mucking with that number is a bad idea.
Though the idea of more play time for quests is a good idea. We'll see how that goes.

No, the whole game won't be based on luck of random battles. We're still working on combat. It will work through a combo system. You create combos, they are used randomly in combat. Longer combos provide bonuses. Certain sequences of skills provide bonuses. As an attacker, you'll watch the opponent use skills and try to predict what the next few skills will be and then counter it.

And there will be more rewards for "quests" in nw2 than are dreamt of on your messageboard posts.
