whenever you run out of turns, it tells you to buy a speed scroll or wait for your turns to replenish. But you can't use the speed scroll. I think that using items shouldn't use any turns up.

benrobber.... no offense dude but stop trying to help. That sentence is the -exact- opposite of what I'm looking for in these forums, please refrain from telling other forum members that they shouldn't make suggestions with good intent. Attack the idea, not the poster ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ad_hominem_attack ) , especially since the spirit of this specific idea (being able to use speed scrolls to undo having been turn-drained) is pretty much valid, and merits discussion. Benrobber, for your part, I encourage ideas, but keep "feature requests" (i.e. potential game improvements) and seperate from "bugs" (i.e. things that seem to be broken about the current workings) by posting in the right forum. Moved now. Anyway, feel free to try to convince me of the merits or disadvantages of not requiring the initial 1 turn cost to get the benefit of the speed scroll when you are using it on yourself. As in, should speed scrolls allow you to break out of zero turns?
